Call for Entries for the ISM World Cup of Micropiles Competition

The Third World Cup of Micropiles competition is being held at the 14th International Workshop on Micropiles, August 21-24, 2019, in Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

This is an International Competition to seek out a micropile project that stands above all others. Five regions of the globe will compete to bring home the Micropile World Cup, including:

  • North America
  • South and Central America
  • Europe
  • Africa and Central Asia (Russia, Middle East and India)
  • Australasia

To be considered, projects must meet the following criteria:

  • Involve micropiles
  • Completed in the last 3 years
  • Any project size is eligible
  • Innovation, difficult conditions, unique applications will be sought
  • Impact on acceptance of micropiles in the region

To participate, submit a one-page summary of your proposed project to ism2019@dfi.org before January 31, 2019.  A panel of experts from each region will select one project to represent their region. Nominators of each selected project will pick an ISM delegate to present the project during a session at the workshop. The presentation will be a maximum of 20 minutes in length, followed by a short question period. A paper is not be required to accompany the presentation.

ISM delegates will vote for the winner during the workshop. The authors of the winning project will receive the Micropile World Cup to keep until the next International Workshop on Micropiles.
