David Pérez, Ischebeck Ibérica, Serving as Host Chair of ISM’s 16th International Workshop on Micropiles

David Pérez, managing director of Ischebeck Ibérica, is serving as the host chair of the International Society for Micropiles (ISM) 16th International Workshop on Micropiles. The workshop is being held September 24-26, 2025, in Valencia, Spain. Pérez is being supported by workshop hosts Joan Alcocer and Vicente Gimenez of Ischebeck Ibérica. 

“As the host company for the workshop, Ischebeck and David Pérez have organized a fabulous location for the workshop,” says Mary Ellen Large, P.E., BC. GE, Nicholson Construction and  ISM executive director. “The event is being held at the iconic Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, situated within the renowned City of Arts and Sciences. Attendees will stay at the modern 4-star Barceló Valencia hotel, offering a unique city experience. We are excited to be back in Europe for the workshop. Our last workshop in Europe was the 12th workshop in Kraków, Poland, in 2014.” 

Perez joined Ischebeck Ibérica in 1997. He initially worked within several departments before becoming responsible for the sales department in 2010. Since 2021, he has been the managing director of Ischebeck Ibérica. Together with his team they strive to achieve highly competitive technical solutions for customers in the Iberian Peninsula. In addition to being a member of the International Society for Micropiles, he is an associate member of the AETESS extension of the EFFC (European Federation of Foundation Contractors).

The International Society for Micropiles (ISM) is a consortium of international representatives involved in the design, construction, research/development and instruction/promotion of micropile technology. ISM provides an international forum for debate, advice, problem-solving and support to micropile specialists and nonspecialists throughout the world. Members of the Society can actively seek advice and experience from other members within this international group. ISM aims to be respected internationally as the preeminent center of knowledge for the development, advancement and promotion of micropile technology.
