World Cup of Micropiles Winner Makes the Cover of Deep Foundations Magazine

The winner of the ISM Fifth World Cup of Micropiles is making headlines in Deep Foundations magazine.

 InGeAp – Ingeniería Geotécnica Aplicada and Tomás Murillo Pérez showcase a groundbreaking project using micropiles to support a new bridge connecting El Salvador and Guatemala.

The article, Bridging Nations: The General Manuel José Arce Bridge, details how  geotechnical conditions and seismic vulnerability ruled out conventional pilling and drilled shaft options. Fortunately, micropiles offered a solution for this vital river crossing at a scale unprecedented in the region.
